Horizontal Stab stalling/ ballooning?

I'm prepping my GP CAP 232 for flight...
Measured the cowl width... the cheeks are 60% of the fuselage width.. there has to some effect, if only a burble along the fuselage sides.
OS 70, 102 oz. 23 oz/ft^2.
