Default RE: Flying in St Pete Fl

Anyone from St.Pete flying in parks here? If so where ?
At first the feeling of "There is nothing wrong with flying in parks" but, I caution you that authorities might not be too understanding if you do, especially when a young 17 year old girl who got hit with a very large Electric Heli being flown at a Tampa, Florida "Park" and anyway you did not specify what skill level nor what type of model you are attempting to fly at the "Park"

A recent Electric RC Heli accident at a park in Tampa / St. Pete caused a very ugly situation:

I seriously doubt that after the above accident authorities will allow RC Flying in any Parks in Tampa / St. Pete.

Do yourself a favor and seek an RC Club like SPARKS which "is" the RC Club in St. Petersburg and it is affordable!

Here is SPARKS web link:

I have flown there as a guest during their annual FUN FLY and BAR-B-Q cookouts and very friendly bunch and the best food! The Runway is 1st rate.

Yes, you need to have AMA insurance and this is very important when the unexpected happens.

Best of luck.
