Default Thunder Tiger Staudacher

My Staudacher is light (7.5 lbs, how did yours come out?) and lands well, but you need to keep a little speed, plus throttle. I approach with a click or two of throttle until over the runway then throttle down to full idle. Be careful of how much elevator you have. Keep the plane relatively level until a foot or two high, then begin adding easy elevator to flare. Many trainers will "mush" down with a lot of elevator, this plane will not. Depending upon your CG the plane is very sensitive to elevator. With a mid or rear CG it is very easy to snap. I've done it, luckily at high altitude experimenting or a foot or two off the ground as I'm landing and have left in too much elevator. With loss of engine, as with all aerobatic aircraft keep the plane a little nose down until you reach the runway then land as normal. If you can't make the runway, land level and hope for the best.
