Default RE: Any WINTER {SNOW} fliers?

Was out flying my 78" Texas Hurricane earlier today in the Bronx, NY. Was about 30F, 12mph. Wanted to get in a few flights before a projected two days of rain (and the possible ruination of my snow-covered field). A very light rain\snow turned into freezing rain while I was assembling the plane. Then had to re-attach the skis, as they were too loose. By the time I was ready I had to scrape a layer of ice off of the entire plane. The snow on the ground was a bit sticky, but the plane took off no problem. While in the air the freezing rain got heavier. Flew for about 8-10 mins then landed, and the plane came down a bit heavy. The frozen rain had re-accumulated on the plane's surfaces, so I called it for the day. Even though it was wet and nasty out, still was fun getting the Hurricane up for a bit.

Is there any easy de-icing solution that can be sprayed onto RC plane surfaces without damaging them? (not that I anticipate doing this type of flying often). Maybe car windshield-wiper fluid?
