tomy takara drift!
i had wanted one of these for awhile. especially the "initial D" version.
but at $60 i didnt know if they were worth it.
they are not true hobby grade IMO. no purportional steering or throttle. and they run on 3 "AAA"s.
but i found one used on ebay for $25, so i snagged it.
i am fairly impressed. the 4wd is setup with a 1-way bearing in the front axle. this means when you let of the throttle, the rear wheels brake some....while the front can turn freely.
this is great for drifting.
the stock motor is also pretty peppy on the 3 "AAA"batts.
also, the non-purportional controls work pretty well. just give quick inputs to the steering and it does what you want it to.
the body is also nicely detailed.
if you are into indoor drifting, with a small amount of room to do it in, then these little cars will be alot of fun for you.
note: the move showed in the vid CAN be done. but it does take some practice!
