Default RE: Over my head and need help!!

Good Luck Jim.

After reading through this post, I am convinced to seek the camaraderie of the local club as well.

I originally visited the club when I got my Kadet Senior some time back and wished to get a bit of tutoring. I connected with a very nice gentleman who aided me on my first flight. I only flew the Kadet once. I worked a busy job in the summer, and most days I was available the tutor was not. So I put the Kadet away only bringing it out to taxi around every now and then. It was difficult to supress the urge to just do it and fly it. But I felt I need more instruction first. So then I bought a cheap 3ch RTF powered glider. I beat it up pretty good but it kept me contented. Next was a 38" unpowered glider which I launced from Hi-start (a sweet little bird). And lastly and most recently, a Foam ARF P-47. I really learned alot from the last few planes, and it made flying the P-47 easier. I had a few hard landings and just recently put a pair of homemade ski's on it. It flies great with ski's but difficult to take off. Still need practice.

I guess what I am getting at is, that I still can't bring myself to fly the Kadet without aid from an experienced modeler/flyer. Also, now that I have a new job, and a normal schedule, I REALLY think it's time to seek the camaraderie of other modelers. Those who can share their experiences with me and whom can relate to mine. I have been "flying solo" too long. I need to open the door and see what lays on the other side. I am craveing to start climbing even higher but seemed to have plateaued out.
I need to join a club!

Great advice everyone!! Like Jim, I am convinced!!
