Default Please HELP, Lockheed P-3 Orion wanted

I let this go for a while... no one is answering, so here's the best help I can give:

I also have some interrest in the P-3 as a future project. I know of no kit or plans for the P-3 However, a large amount of information is available on-line.

Appx 1977... Durring a High School Aviation Club's tour of NARF, NAS Alameda (Naval Air Rework Facility, Naval Air Station, Alameda, CA), I remember them mentioning it was basicly a modified passenger airliner. somehow... I thought they had said it was the DC-7.... but memorys do get fuzzy.)

A search (www.ask.com search on "Lockheed P-3 Orion") indicated the Lockheed Electra L-188 is the Airliner it was based on.(www.ask.com search on "Lockheed P-3 Orion Electra L-188" reduces the number of hits, but still gives a LOT of info.)

I have located a couple of plastic display model kits for it... Nothing for flying.

The best SHORT web page I looked at was: http://www.aerospaceweb.org/aircraft...p3/index.shtml which has a decent 3-view of the aircraft, countries which used it and a listing of variants.

Where to go from there... depends on the size and purpose of your project. Sport scale flying of a plane you admire? Scale competition? A sport scale model can be done relatively easilly. A competition model... a couple of years of hard work.
