I didn't realize what type of car it was. So, my advice wouldn't apply to your situation unfortunately. In many of the toy cars like Nikko, Tyco, etc. the electronics are combined into one board which can make identifying problems more difficult. Unless you know a thing or two about IC's and electronics.

Follow Tiger's advice and check for the obvious and if you can supply pics it would surely help.
