All the people thinking that this is some power play by the AMA to force everyone to join in order to be covered by the CBO alternative means of compliance keep forgetting that the government will never require anyone to join an org like the AMA. IMO, that would be illegal.

I am of the strong opinion that the RULES created by the CBO and approved by the FAA and the government will be available to everyone.

If you do not chose to comply, then you are not under that umbrella.

The press release issued yesterday is nothing but good news for all model aircraft flyers, AMa and non-AMA, no matter how a tiny majority will try to twist and slant it.
