Default VQ 60 Size Hurricane with DLE 20

Got a DLE 20 from Santa and installed it in my VQ 60 size Hurricane. Tired of getting riped off for glow fuel and the mess. This Hurricane is several years old and has had 3 engines, 91 FS, 120 FS and now the DLE 20. Had to build mounts and put the batteries as far forward in cowl as possible to get correct cg. Had to use a straignt pipe as there is simply no room for any kind of muffler with out butchering the cowling. Test ran on the ground a couple of weeks ago and tuned engine. 15-8 Graupner three blade prop turning about 8,800 rpm. Idle 1,700. Plane has Spring Air retracts, Robart struts and larger wheels 3.5" and wheel wells. Weights 10 lbs with the gasser. The DLE 20 is lighter than the OS 120 FS but the batteries are not as for farward as the heavy hub was so there was about an 8 oz increase in weight. Snow finally melted off field and had one day window before next snow storm. Engine started and ran great. This engine has LOTS of POWER. Even running a little rich, the plane can climb straight up as far as I need and can do rolls in a 45 degree up line as long as you want. Flew through all imanuvors without a hicup. The little bit of extra weight didn't affect landing that I could tell. No reason for me to use a glow engine again.
