RE: VQ 60 Size Hurricane with DLE 20
Zulu91, I used a 1/2" aluminum tube, 1/16 or so aluminum sheet, muffler sealer from the auto supply store. No welding. I squeezed down the tube to make it oval to fit the exhaust port, cut the base plate using the gasket as a guide and the the top plate so it would just pass over the pipe. Used muffler sealer to seal up and clamp together with nuts and bolt. Not too tight or will bend the aluminum. The when sealer was dry, dressed down with file around the egdes and then installed on engine. The mounting bolts hold every thing together.
