Default RE: F-100 Super Sabre Paint question

Hi

One way to tell is to look at the different shades in the aluminum panels of the planes skin. If they differ, this is raw unpainted aluminum.

If the aluminum skin is painted silver, all the panels will be the same if the same paint was used in a same time application.

I have a K&A all composite 90mm edf F-100. I used a can of rustoleum silver alum on black and grey primer base coats. Also, one can change the shade of the painted silver panels by using car wax to give it a different shade form other panels or just rubbing it with ones fingers. Or even tooth paste, anything changes the silver shade.

Aluminum paint is more challenging to do without it looking like a car finish..

This was my first try at an aluminum finish.
