Default RE: KingTech K-80

Not a problem Barry, I have young children so anytime the sun is up is a good time to troubleshoot. by the way I think I have one of the faulty fuel pumps.
The wiring and tx issue solved i began the start sequence. fired up smoothly and ran very strongly.

Within 60 seconds the rpm was settled into a good 43000 rpm idle and then i ramped her up to the full rpm , which held for about ten seconds.

after a short time the rpm began to drop and i brought her back to idle. The idle now fluctuated between 43 and 60000.

I shut the turbine down and checked the cool down sequence. all good and i went to dinner.

After dinner I returned to restart and check everything out and this time was greeted with copious amounts of flame and anger from the exhaust..

It was enough that I allmost went for the extinguisher.

It went away very quickly and idle was regained smoothly, Within a few moments the idle became very irratic and i had a flameout.

I notices the bubbles in the line and decided that i may need to run the pump for a minute to check the flow. By performing a pump test I can tell you that the pump was getting hot and would only tricle fuel from it. It soon stopped altogether. I also checked the pump with a battery direct connect, no dice , no pump, no flow, pumped locked up.

So When i do a pump check in the menu I hear the fuel solenoid click on and off when the pump test function is activated.
