Beforeanyone can diagnose or make suggestionswe need to know a few more things about the boat and the motor.

1) how long is the boat?

2) How wide is the boat

3) how heavy is the boat? (Especially with batteries and ready to sail)

4) What type of hull is it?

5) How many RPM's are the motor?

6) What sizeis the motor can? (Length/width/height)

(7) what voltage and MAH are the batteries are bieng used.

BTW: That's cool that you run boats with your son. I can't wait until my boy is old enough to run them.
