RE: TOM BRETT'S DESIGNS-UPDATE
Jim Kirkland became VERY well known after designing the Beachcomber. Here are a number of photos of Jim from that Detroit Invitational. In the end Jim walked away with all the "stuff"....he can hardly carry it all. Notice he won a reed radio, (Tom in the background on the PA system). There is lots of "live" video of Jim in Chuck's Detroit Invitationals DVD.
Jim was instrumental in pioneering proportional, (Pro Line I think). Notice the child laying on his stomach in pictures taken by two different people. The must have been taken about the same time.
