Default RE: DLA 112 ???

To all,

I have never owned a dla engine, but I am about to try one out for myself as I did with dle. I use to buy zdz, but not any more because the dle has better quality than zdz and half the price from my experience. Also, I took a risk on the mld engines and got the same pleasing results as I did with the dle engines. I mean, really, would I rather try out a new engine for $350 and it be junk rather than purchasing...say...example: a da for $700 when it first comes out and it be the same piece of junk? I would try out the cheaper priced one of course. If any of you do not agree with that, then I would have to say your analagies are out of the logical domain. Yes, da has finally worked out the kinks(as atleast that is what everyone says) and they want to charge very high prices and still not reinburst you the shipping expense every time you have send it back to them. Well, from my experience, I start and fly all day long with my dle and mld engines while my counterparts consistantly flood the da's and always end up shipping them back a few times before they ever get them running right. And, I have more trouble out of my zdz engines when I take them to the field, therefore, I just join the crowd of troubles with the da guys. Again, this is based on "my" experience. Have I ever had to send a dle or mld engine back yet? Nope! And if I did, would I have to send it back to china with high shipping like everyone says? Nope! If you buy directly from China, they have a policy of just simply sending you the parts for free that you need to make the repair as long as you are still within the warranty time frame.

Can you prove that da is original? Can you prove that dle is original? Example: Lets say someone in china has an idea for an engine and someone in the U.S. has the same idea for an engine. Lets face it, it is very possible because combustion cant really get any more complicated than just simple combustion. Now, both innovators go for a patten. Lets say the U.S. guy gets his out first and then later the china guy gets his out finally. Did the china guy copy? No, he didn't. Would he get accused of such? In the U.S., probably so. AND it goes the same way vice versa.

I am not saying that dla is original or is not original. I am just trying to convey that we need to stick with logical sense in all of our analagies.

When da first decided they wanted to make their own original gas engine, did they just create the first gas engine? No, they did not. They had to apply their innovation from using the same combustion principles everyone else did that created combustion engines long ago before them.

Come on guys, we have technology because we use innovation based on previous proven products and scientific methods. Its called engineering and technology. Engineering and technology make our lives much much better. For example: I dont think any of you are still watching black and white televisions, atleast I hope not.

If you ever purchase a dla engine(dla 56 for example) and you test it for yourself and it performs as stated and is good of quality and service as the da, are you going to send dla an additional donation of $350 for a job well done? I dont think so.

On another note. Just because you purchase a dla engine and it does not work properly the first time, there is a "logical" possiblity you may have ended up with a bad one in the batch(most of the time, it is the carburator with any combustion engine). That does not mean all the others are going to perform the same poor way. So dont bash dla if the first engine you get does not pan out right away. Sounds like to me, DA had "plenty" of non properly working engines when they first hit the market. If I had my guess, dla has probably got it together way better than da did when they started out. And keep in mind, they all had to follow the same combustion principles and concepts.

Its a free market out there. If no one ever challenged a product out there, then we never would have the motivation or ambition to work out the kinks and problems before we sell them and the only guarantee we would have is a possible guaranteed piece of junk. And, we would still be watching black and white televisions. Either DA knew that they had kinks and sold them anyways OR they never tested their products before putting them on the market when they first came out!

Personally, I want to thank all contributors out there that want to make a better working product. Not only do these contributors assist me in bettering my life along with everyone elses whether they admit it or not, they also assist the ones making the bad products even better! Thank You DLE and DLA and DL for making better products. Also, Thank You DLE and DLA and DL for challenging other name brand engines so that they offer their customers what they pay for AND I thank DLE, DLA, DL for offering great products for those who are forced to enjoy their hobby on a budget!
