welcome to the brotherhood skypup50.I read your article and it pretty much nails it.Although I cant relate to the older radio control systems my first model I built was a small control line covered with silkspan and dope.I was so pleaes with how it looked and couldnt wait to fire that little cox engine up.Unfortunately it started and I attempted to fly!Well,you know the end result.I didnt know anyone in the hobby so I gave it up as a bad idea.I was around 20 years old and then life got in the way.After a lot of years I saw how much had improved and my interest was re-kindled and I got into rc .No looking back now.I love to build scale models now and my workshop is definitely my sanctuary.I have made a lot of friends who also enjoy building and a couple of good ones too!!
