In my opinion expecting the low cost wholesaler to ship you a new tank on his dime is a pretty high expectation. If I spend $1100 on a Tamiya from the brick and mortor shop, you bet I am going to want complete resolution on my issues. If I mail order a $140/tank from halfway across the country, then my expectations come down a bit.
I have to disagree. It should not matter weather the item is less expensive or more expensive. Damage is damage, regardless of cost.
So for the record can I ask how long between shipment received and the claim made?
I really don't see how you defend a company that sent me damaged merchandise. The damage was discovered a week after I purchased it. I don't know about Canada, but in the USA you normally have 30 days to return an item for credit or exchange.
