I understand the battery issue. I built a jet for a friend who has the 14MZ. I really liked the radio and its touch screen programing. However, it was a requirment to have the second battery and the charger in use throughout the day at the field. Hech, I have an 8 UAPS I can fly all weekend without a charge.

I read that the 12Z uses the same battery as the 14MZ, so what extends the battery life?
