RC jammers

Me and my uncle are into RC helis, cars and now boats and have a local park where we do all three every weekend, my uncle was brought a rc speed boat for Christmas and after seeing it quickly brought one myself and spend time down the lake having much fun and also to the enjoyment of spectators.
One Sunday me and my uncle went to the lake to have another fun day with our boats and also saw some old fellas with rc bardge boats, no motors just sails with servos. They arrived after us and started to set up on the other side od the river, as me and my uncle where racing our boats we both at the same time lost control of our boats and had trouble getting them back. My uncle’s boat completely stopped working in the water and mine was going round in circles without input.
We both thought that we had something wrong with our boats and put them back on shore and straight after the old timers put their boats in the water so we went to talk tothem to see their fantastic scale barges and didn’t seem very talkative to us. My uncle then saw a box device with gages on it moving back and forth and asked what it was and the guy quickly tuned it off and covered it up, not very friendly at all.
So me and my uncle went home and after doing a bit of research on rc problems my uncle came across signal interference and RC JAMMERS!
We knew by then what exactly happened and that those old boys wanted the lake to themselves and obviously didn’t want us on it. Rc jammers are illegal and all those guys had to do is say to us can we do our boats now or take turns but no they had to do something like that, they should know better at their age.
Has anyone had a similar experience with this and what can do?
