RE: Fox Eagle IV .60 engine
I'll do that the next time I hook it up.
I was using Zinger 11x7's or Top Flight or Rev-Up props, all 11x7's at the time.
So I chose a Zinger 11x7 as that was what I was using back then most of the time.
We didn't trust plastic props yet. everyone was afraid of a blade letting go back then.
I think the problem is with a plastic prop, if you dinged the prop while the engine was running, it doesn't show any obvious damage, but a wood prop breaks immediately on the slightest ding. So with the plastic prop, it might fail because of internal damage you can't see.
I'll have to look in my box of props, I am not sure I have a APC 11x7 or not, I might have to buy one.
I actually have a old 20 some odd year old Zinger wood prop and when I tried it as compared to a new Zinger prop, they were still turning around the same RPMs on the same engine with the same fuel.
