Actually, the frSky receiver allows operation in both HS and standard mode . But your right, they do not offer s-Bus. It seems to me that the only real advantage of the s-Bus system is a slightly less cluttered wiring installation. The servos seem to be more expensive, and it requires more hardware. Am I missing some great advantage of s-Bus?
As an aside, i am working on converting all my planes to work on one single receiver that gets moved around to the different aircraft. In that case i wouldn't mind spending a little extra $ for the name brand guaranteed receiver. Especially since the money i save on multiple receivers can more than offset the cost of a higher end receiver. I.E. instead of 4+ $130 8 channel FASST receivers, just use one $200 14 Channel FASST recever that moves around to different planes. Giving me the best possible receiver for FASST radios, as far as i can tell...
