Sounds good, Doug. Can you post a link to the struts you ordered from HK?

I removed the center post of the intake former since I beefed up the surrounding area with angle stock and epoxy. I didn't spend much time smoothing it out but the air is now guided to the center opening instead of hitting the flat former. A little silver paint to cover the wood and some 3M strip tape seemed to match the stock covering well.
