Default Prop Selection -APC 17 X 12

HI Bob,

If you don't mind some extra RPM, I'd suggest the 17 x 10 wide or regular. The first 17 x 10 APC made was a narrow looking prop. They now have a wider one available. This prop will give you smallest gap between low and full throttle. The 17 x 12 "can" give some FAST flying if your not careful. On the Mintor 170, the 17 x 12 gave utterly ridiculous vertical speeds. I went to the 17 x 13 to help smooth things out. On the Mintor 140, I love the 17 x 10 prop. VERY constant speed. Plenty of vertical, very nice horizontal speeds. I checked and there is about 100 rpms difference between the 17 x 10 N and 17 x 10 W. At 8500 rpms, mine sound checked in the 90-91 DB range at the Nats. Enjoy.

PS. The 140 shakes so little, that the new engine mount on your site will probably work VERY well.
