Default RE: Herr Mini Sport

This is a fast build, the fuselage is done in less than a day, not bad for using only white glue. The kit goes together well with the parts cut perfect. I did not like the 1/16 stringers so I sheeted those areas with balsa. I first sanded the formers down 1/16 of an inch then made paper patterns for the balsa sheet. I sprayed the balsa sheet with Windex and taped into position and let it dry over night. This morning I trimmed to a perfect fit and glued in place. The rear of the fuselage uses balsa block instead of stringers as called for in the plans. I have not decided how I am going to mount the motor so I did not glue the motor mount in yet. I have to wait for my spruce to come in before I can start the wing. The wing uses balsa spars, I am going to use spruce and sheet the top front portion of the wing with balsa.
