The Ki 61 Is a good plane for that. It has a nice strait tapered wing with an aspect ratio of 6.61 which would be nice for racing. (Aspect ratos of 7 to 9 are best for racing, but generally not possable in scale unless you exagerate. I pesonally don't like to ruin the scale outlines.)
I got one Tim, just needs to be finished. Has been flown and flies really well but not really a racing airfoil. I'll get it done eventually. I've also re-drawn it at a smaller scale specifically with the intention of making it a warbird racer but I have not moved forward on that one beyond cutting some parts.



Its looking good, what kind of engine do you have in there?
