The 10x is a much more capable radio,
Well, the 10x might have advantages, but calling a dedicated airplane radio for more capable than a radio handling both air/sail/heli... I don't know.
I've also owned both, and I do not miss the 10x nowdays, specially when starting at flying helis too.
