RE: Futaba 8FG goes to 14 Channels!!
I'll be looking for a new system this year, and I like what Futaba has to offer re the "frequency agile" concept that they call FASST. Although I need quite a few extra channels for scale features, I'm not interested in paying the high cost for a 14 channel system. Yet, I find it hard to believe that an 8-channel Tx can move more than 8 controls, regardless of how many channels are available in the receiver. I also think Futaba's 10-channel system is probably in need of some upgrades for future sales. So, looking at the new Morgan Cool Power ad, I see that there is a "European" looking Futaba transmitter featured right next to a gallon of Cool Power. I wonder if the next generation of Futaba transmitters will have that look. It seems to make a lot of sense for Futaba to focus on one exterior look for both US and European applications, with only the electronics changing for the local frequency needs. Anyone think the featured transmitter might be a glimpse of the future? Anyone have any preliminary info? Thanks, Lee
