Use the trim lever normally for throttle to trim elevator so you don't need to take your thumb off the elevator stick, etc.
Interestingly enough, this feature, called "cross trims" has been available since the time of the Futaba 9Z. It's a cool feature and I have used it since that time. The new radios take it to a whole new level however.
