It was me who had the G62 and the 18oz of tail weight and that is with electronic ignition on the engine. The plane flew well so the cg was ok. You might want to consider a DLE-55 which has just a little less power than the G62, but weighs quite a bit less.

"Only recall seeing one post that specifically mentioned the balance - seems like one fellow used a Zenoah G-62 and ended up adding 18oz of weight to the tail. Seems odd for a bipe, but okay! "
