Unless you're running an 8.5 or lower turn motor, you don't need the RS Pro. It has an extra FETboard which is nice, and helps keep heat down, but it's not absolutely necessary. If you're buying a combo good luck, because a lot of the RS combos are out of stock leaving the Pro as the only option.
