I think ya did right. If the decent people of this world can't commit to reacting to bold faced absolute rubbish in other people (fists, or otherwise), we will all become rubbish by default. The only thing I think ya shoulda done different is not hit him in front of his kid. Maybe a quite talk on the side yard.
