I started in 1980 with a Bridi Soar Birdy. I had asked my parents for a R/C glider and got the dreaded "we'll see." About two weeks later my mother got a job as an engineer at Kraft and I got my first radio and plane. I started to teach myself to fly that year and have been hooked ever since.
