It was 1952 and I was 13. I was king of the control line circles when someone showed up with and RC that worked. I was hooked. My first plane was a Berkeley Bootstraps with a vacuum tube receiver. The receiver cost $10, a fortune! Here's me the with a U/C Barnstormer then and now with a replica of the Bootstraps. Dan.
