Gene (Graybeard) said that right.. each club has their own favorite. At our club, the second plane of choice seems to be the Tiger series, Tiger II or Tiger 60 bu Goldberg/Great Planes.

To tell you the truth, they are all very fine aircraft to move up to. They have their forgiving tendencies and can offer a challenge where needed and if set up to do so. So, the choice is yours, of course, based on availability.
