<p style="margin-bottom: 0in">I spoke with Futaba technical support and identified the following:

1) Yes, you can connect an ESC to CH 3 to power the receiver and provide throttle control.
2) Yes, you can connect a BEC to CH 8/BAT. If you use a Y-cable, you can connect the BEC as well as a servo to be controlled by CH 8. (Note: If you are using a BEC, disconnect the power lead (middle RED wired) on the servo cable from the ESC.)
3) You can, in fact, connect a BEC to any of the CH 1-8 to power the receiver. As mentioned above, however, do remove the RED lead from the ESC servo cable.</p>
