i have used some of the 996.
i got them from www.hobbypartz.com. a couple of bucks more, but you will get them in 7 days instead of a month(ebay ad was from hong kong)
they have worked well for me.
i have some of the other high-torque metal geared servos from hobbypartz as well.
unless you intend to race, their servos will work well. for racing, a pricier but more percise servo would be better.
