I feel your pain. It has been windy here too. I have a 450 as well and it was too windy for me to fly the other day. I got it into a hover and it was tossing me around big time. So I called it a day and pressed on. I do have a 600 that I am building right now. It is so huge compared to my 450. It blows me away every time I look at it.
