Default Confessions Of A Warbird Racer

So I have been thinking about all the up's and downs of my warbird racing experiences and would love to hear other peoples up's and down's. Maybe you threw away a silver championship because you couldn't miss a Cher concert or had to race a mustang in gold because your pinto of an airplane just wasn't cutting it. Maybe you won a championship because everybody else broke out or you just flat out whooped their butts around the pylons. There has to be some great stories out there. Now is the time to brag a little or tattle on your friends. Go ahead and get those confessions off your chest, you'll feel much better about them.

Here's my confession....
Racing in bronze at the Sacramento Area Modelers my caller and I ended up being in the same heat race. Prior to this race I came in 4th place in one heat and broke out in another. I was already having a bad race day. Anyway, I was in dead last during this race with my caller and couldn't catch anybody. I know my airplane and when I can't catch people we are defenently breaking out. I don't know what I was thinking, rookie move I guess, I had to be in the race. Trying to catch up I flew into my callers plane. He crashed and distroyed his plane. I got black flagged. I didn't realize I hit my callers plane until after the race. He brought only one plane so he was out of the race. I look back at it and realized all the things I should have done but my fingers wanted to win! My plane didn't even have a scratch on it. In fact I raced it in the final heat where I broke out again. [:@] Oh well, you race and you learn.

I have to say, I feel alot better now.
