Default Megatech Skyliner

I know the skyliner isn't a good plane and I wish I would of done some research before buying but I didn't. I tried returning it but they said after I flew it and crashed it , then it is mine. Well what Im posting about is I have an electric skyliner and I am totally new to rutter and elevator controls. I am very good with the 2 channel planes and thought I could jump into a 3 channel pretty easy. I ave flown it 5 times and every time, I bend the gear shaft and I am out of luck. Megatech is so back ordered on these (1 month) I cant get them very easy, so when mine come in, I want to be a little more knowledgeable. Last time I flew, I did keep it up for about 30 seconds and when I turned, it dove straight into the ground. While it was going straight, it flew great. Is there a trick to turning cesna type planes? Shoud I maybe use the rutter adjustter instead of the real control to turn with for starts? It is a prettyy cool plane (looks) for the money and it does haul A^*. (about 40-50mph) but I dont know enough about flying to keep it up in a turn. Is there any good books that I could read that might help me with the basics. I dont have a good club nearby to goto for help. These guys are not so friendly. They acted like I was an intruder and a burden so I left very quickly (felt very unconfortable). So its just me and my 8 year old son. Any advice on flying would be appreciated. And like I said, it did fly great straight, it even glided very well when I let off throttle. But the turn kills it every time!
Thanks for any advice,
Brian
