Points suck rocks big time.
All the modern conversions use a solid state Hall Effect switch. Easy to mount, easy to put a magnet in the prop hub, easy to time.
P.S. Doing a OS 40 would be easy with a little craftiness on your and a basic 1/4x32 ignition conversion kit.
