Default RE: Struggling with single rotor basics V2

Ivan,

That Rustler looks like a bunch fun!  When I was a kid, I had a Jerobee Can-Am bodied car... Cox 049 in it... first time out, crashed it into the curb and broke the frame in half.  Never got it right after that.  I found one online about 3 years ago and almost got it.  Damn, Ivan... now you have me thinking about getting a Rustler, too.   Those tires expanding like they do is just awesome!! I laughed out loud at that.  Are they soft semi-pneumatic?

I hope you get your gyro sorted out.  The 760's are great gyros and that servo shouldn't be much of a problem.  I would have gotten one for my 500 pro if I could have found one.  The 3500g will work great, too.   Are you using stock Spartan pads?

Here's how I broke the gear... I landed without throttle hold and when I lowered the stick, the skids flexed and buried the tail.   Here's another good one, just happened.  When we got back from dinner I fixed the gear.  Went outside, got it into a hover went to idle 1, tail wag.  Thottle hold (works, now)... landed fine. Lowered gain... not enough... took off, Idle 1, tail wag... throttle hold, landed, tipped over.  Bent a link.    Done for the day.. weekend with the 450 pro, actually.   Ordered more links.  Fun stuff.  At least I know I can get wag with a flybarless system, now.  So... I'll just get it set with my other helicopters and be done with it.  I do think wag affects the control unit because of vibration.

That said.. dinner was great!!    It's a nice place.  The Halloumi Caprese is to die for.  Grilled Halloumi cheese (has the consistency of chicken... seriously) basil, tomato, and balsamic reduction.   The steaks, while not Morton's or even Ruths Cris, are great!!!  Better yet, it's less than a mile away.   We usually go there Friday's, but my wife had that Royal Wedding Reception party last night, so we didn't.  I did get holed up in the bedroom and watched a few episodes of Spartacus Blood and Sand with my step-daughter's boyfriend.  It was cool.

Scott...

Looking for Rustlers...
