RE: Pattern by the Bay Contest - Richmond, CA
14 out of the 17 pilots returned to do battle on the second day, weather was even more beautiful than yesterday. Because of the in your face bright sunshine, we didn't start flying until 11:30, but managed to finish the contest & award ceremony by 3:00.
I would like to thank CD Derek for organizing the event, our club - Bay Area Radio Control Society - for letting us to host another contest & Luke Pang for scoring. As Luke mentioned on an earlier post, we don't know how much longer we will be able to continue to fly at our flying site. Hopefully, we can host one more contest next year before riding into the sunset.
I would like to give a very special thank you to all of the contestants that has been supporting us over the years. And to those who didn't / couldn't make it, I sincerely hope that you will continue to support your local contest. It takes a CD a lot of time & effort to organize such an event, and for the host club to give up a whole weekend so a few of us can enjoy our activity.
Looking forward to seeing you all at the next contest ...
