There is a mod that you can do to the tmaxx tranny to make it a three speed, or there is a company that sells a three speed conversion. Ive beat a couple of savages with my Tmaxx, The next thing I'm going to do with mine is install that picco .26 Red dot engine, Then it will be untouchable
I'm pretty sure I invented the 3 speed mod for the stock tranny, thats why I was curious. The aftermarket 3 speed conversion is a joke. It really onlyraises the overall gear ratios of 1st and 2nd gear and only slightly increases top speedwith the means of an external double spur and clutch bell for the 3rd gear. You also have to eliminate the slipper clutch for their conversion and any decentengine will eat it for lunch.
