Default coming back

After several years absence I am getting back into the hobby. I still have all my old planes and equipment. Of course it has been sitting unused in my basement for quite some time, the last time I flew was 2005. I have started some engines, and to my surprise they fired right up and seem to run well. I have charged the rx and tx batteries, they are working on the ground, but i don't know if i can trust them in the air. I'll probably replace all the rx batteries, but I have a never used tx battery new in 2005 and my transmitter was also new then, and only used a few times. Since they have seen very little or no use could the tx batteries be trusted? The tx is a T6xas and has a voltmeter. I charged it about a week ago and used it for engine runs and it still shows around 10 volts. Any other concerns with engines, servos, airframes from sitting? I have checked and everything looks good to go, am I being overly cautioous? I've been getting some sim time, so I think my thumbs are ready! Comments please.
Thanks
