Just one question. Would´t be faster and maybe as well easier to start with Platt short kit or enlarge Brian Taylor 109F to size you want?
I have both of those 109's, Platt and Taylor. No it would not be faster. Plus it would way more expensive.

The Platt short kit with plans will be $239,00+shipping
BUT I don´t want to throw this project down. I´m looking carefully
Are you going to make any modifications to the landing gear location?
