I smoked a friends lipo and want to replace it. ( what a buzz )

Thunder power 3s 1350mah The difference is it has what I think is a JST connector on it. ( small red with 2 female pins )

I see them with regular deans connectors or no connectors at all...

He's not around to ask, could he have soldered it on himself? the soldering would have to occured right at the battery terminals as the " JST " connector does not have soldering points on it????

This makes me think he bought it this way..
