your fillet method is not any different than what i used....it does the same function in my opinion. just dont use ca glue in this area use epoxy....30 minute stuff. i added 45 degree gussets in all my corners on the 40 build. but this is a 40 not a giant tm.
I agree and I don't, a fillet that is aerodynamic verses square angles is alot differant. I do not like the way it looks and I have always used the fillets to blend, not hold! Now as for adding the 45 degree angles to the up-rights inside the air frame, yes, that is a smart move. I understand the differance between the size of the 2 Tele's, however I am ole school, and we ole schoolers have a tendency to over build, ergo, using a 50 and not the size as requested! And this is a large by design airframe. Back in the day a 50" WS was considered a giant! But again, I do value your input and do take everything said into consideration. I also agree w/epoxy for the adheasive, as a matter of fact, the fillet used for blending the rudder/stab will be made from an epoxy putty, ole school way!
