H9 PT-19
I flew mine with a Zenoah G-23 and the other two at my field used Saito 150 engines. The Saito powered PT's were faster and the engine's were easier to install due to the narrow cowl.
I don't recall the CG measurement but start at the spar and check your trims after the first flight.
These things are so stable I could do wide open throttle touch & goes. On landing, bring it in with a little power, go to idle at the end of the runway, set it down on the mains and let it roll out.
Don't try a three pointer, they get sloppy, you can do it but there not as pretty. If the planes has the factory wheels still on it replace them with Dubro 4 1/2 " treaded tires with the grey spoked wheels. The supplied wheels are too big and I installed Dubro olio struts made for this plane.
As far as the controls go, I set everything to max throw and cut them in half with duel rate or you can use expo if you like.
I flew on high rate aileron all the time.
Send me your address and I'll send you the engine mounts, you supply the nuts and bolts. Chuck
