RE: Turning Metal Shed into RC Workshop
Hi everybody,
Well, I have finally completed the shed transformation into a RC workshop (mostly RC workshop). The dimensions of the workspace is 12'x16'. As you can see in the photos, I covered the walls and ceiling with rigid foam insulation and covered the walls with peg board. I built the tables (36"x80") and covered the one table with a thick plate of metal as I like to build with magnets. As you can see, I will be building a TOP FLITE Contender. There are a total of 4 wall outlets, two loft outlets and 3 ceiling outlets for power. I also install 4 12-outlet power strips. I think I should have enough outlets to plug everything in. I install three hanging shop lights (6 T8 bulbs) and 1 shop light under the loft. I can, if needed, install three more sets of lights on the ceiling and 1 more under the loft. There is also a rolling build table (metal covered) between the two big work tables. As you can see, I am a big Star Wars. As far as the loft goes, I will be building some framing that I can attach planes to and the frames will be on a track system so I can slide them forward and remove planes as needed to fly. I wish to give a big thanks for your suggestions and to my lovely wife (who told me we are expecting twins) for allowing me (actually forcing me) to do this. If there are any questions, please ask.
Happy flying and soft landings!
